Nesha has helmed iconic NYC venues like La Esquina and Beauty & Essex, celebrated for their high-profile clientele and impeccable service standards, and was most recently the front-of-house director at the prestigious Montauk Lake Club. Nesha currently consults on hospitality and event ventures across the country and is an executive team member of Maverick Theory.
Dave Foss is a co-founder of Maverick Theory, a consulting agency and creative hospitality group that represents some of the most sought after hospitality talent in the world. Dave oversees the consultation division at Maverick Theory that focuses on concept creation and development, food and beverage programs, restaurant operations, and facilitating professional connections that allow businesses to bloom in the hospitality realm. With over 30 years in the industry, Dave has run restaurant and bar programs in Los Angeles and New York City, and consulted on projects across the country.
Joshua Malin is a co-founder and the president of VinePair, responsible for all data collection and analysis. Prior to starting VinePair, Josh helped grow Ez Texting, a New York-based small business text messaging startup that was acquired by CallFire in 2012.
Joanna Sciarrino is the editor in chief of VinePair and one of the co-hosts of “The VinePair Podcast.” Prior to joining the VinePair team, Joanna was the Executive Editor of Food52, a cooking and housewares digital media company. Before that she was the Managing Editor of Lucky Peach, the quarterly food publication founded by David Chang, and began her career as an Assistant Editor at Bon Appétit magazine.
Arno Stemmer is a co-founder of Maverick Theory. His professional journey began with a pioneering drop-shipping venture before he started Barmetrix, a food and beverage analysis and management company based in Los Angeles. Over the years, he’s honed his expertise, earning certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and dedicating himself to empowering operators to deliver unparalleled guest experiences. With nearly a decade at the helm of Barmetrix LA, Arno is an expert in inventory management, dissecting inventory flow, and tackling the challenges of profitability analysis. He’s consulted with some of the largest hospitality groups in Los Angeles, enabling them to optimize both front and back-of-house operations for maximum profitability, and prioritizes sustainable, repeatable, and scalable solutions that ensure long-term profitability for all clients.
Adam Teeter is a co-founder and the CEO of VinePair. Together with co-founder Josh Malin, Adam has grown VinePair into one of the most read, watched, and listened to media outlets focused on the world of drinks and drinks culture in America. He is also a co-host of the flagship “VinePair Podcast,” a twice-weekly show about the drinks business. Prior to founding VinePair, Adam worked as a journalist and a music executive. He holds a BA from Emory and an MBA from NYU.
Michael Tipps is a co-founder of Maverick Theory. He earned his reputation in hospitality in Fort Lauderdale, New York City, and Los Angeles over the last 30 years. Michael currently consults on hospitality projects across the country, from boutique hotels to dive bars, and owns a few as well. He’s appeared on Paramount’s “Bar Rescue” as a bar expert, and is a contributing writer, speaker, and advisory board member for the Bar & Restaurant Expo.
